At the US parks (even the often mocked WDW), refurbs are part of business, and they happen pretty regularly and often in multiple places in the same park at the same time; people don't really remember them. Being able to single out so many things at DLP that have had recent work makes it seem like the refurbs are infrequent, and they usually don't overlap one another.

The work that's being done is great, and certainly an improvement over what's been done in the past. However, there's still a long way to go before everything is up to the Disney standard

I think the battle begun with the 20th Anniversary. DLP really improved a lot compared to the years before.

It's true, it has a long way to go until it reaches Disney standard.

In some ways DLP has really improved in others it still needs lots of work!!!

WDW makes money and can allocate money to refurbs. DLP doesn't make any money and has problems to fund the refurb budgets. That's why I'm glad that DLP used most of the money made available by TWDC during the last financial restructuring for refurbs.

This is a good point, and considering how much profit it rakes in maintenance at WDW should be better than it is.

Agreed. Still, my impression is that maintaining a good show isn't a real priority there. Let's see how well they maintain things once most of the fixes are complete.

Sometimes I get the same impression, but at least they care now about the attractions. There have been times when AAs didn't work at POTC or PM. Special effects in SM or RNRC didn't work. But during our last two visits (2013 and 2014) POTC, PM, SM and many other rides looked fantastic. In fact, I have never seen the attractions in such good conditions. I think ukfan can varify that.

However when it comes to buildings there is still a lot to improve.

Honestly, I don't need new rides. I just want DLP to return to its former glory. I guess the regular visitor doesn't care about that so much. As long as his kids get to see the characters, everyone seems to be happy.

I do think DLP deserves something new for its 25th birthday though. It does have a full roster of attractions, but it needs something to stop it becoming a museum IMHO. Even just ST2 or adding Jack to POTC or a NBC overlay on PM for christmas.

It doesn't have to be a brand new E-ticket, just something they can advertise that stops the park feeling stagnant. There's a lot of work to do at WDSP, but while attendance is spiking due to Rat... I'd take the opportunity to add something to DL park!!!

It's really depressing. Molly Brown underwent rehab a couple of weeks ago and looks terrible already. Space Mountain also needs a refurb.

At least the Boardwalk Candy Palace looks beautiful again and the hotels come along nicely too. I relly like the new interior of Hotel New York.

I have to say I think those Halloween decorations look pretty tacky though.

Also, I couldn't get the image of the Chez Remy menu to open up clearly, does anyone know what changed? I wondered how long it would be before there was a menu tweak!!!

If I'm not mistaken they added two more dishes to the existing menus.

That's great to hear! I was really surprised that they opened with such a small menu, so it's nice they're adding more options. For a restaurant based on a movie about gourmet food, this should have happened from the start
