I'm still holding out for a Muppet Workshop at DLP!!!

What's a Muppet Workshop? Can you create your own Muppet there?

I got one a few years ago when my sister visited NY. It was announced that they would appear in WDW and DL, but I don't know if they ever did?!!!

From what I've heard the NYC one does reasonably well, but may be priced a little high for souvenirs in a theme park. Then again, the 'get your kid's head on a princess body' thing they did in WDW this past fall wasn't exactly cheap either...

I would say the Anaheim Lego Store is something of a destination within DTD. It occupies its own building and features some impressive Lego Disney figures outside.

Not to change the subject, but I'm often amazed at the crappy shops that somehow manage to take root in NYC. With sky high real estate and finicky tastes, I wouldn't think a Muppet store (of all things) would be something that would thrive there. Let me guess - it's in Times Square.

Nope, it's within FAO Schwartz, the toy store to end all toy stores (and the basis of the enormous toy store featured in Home Alone 2). If I recall correctly, it's somewhere in midtown, just off of 5th Avenue, closer to all the ritzy stores than the tourist shops in Times Square

I believe it's on 5th Ave in an area with heavy tourist traffic. I thought the Muppet retail space was a free standing location. It makes sense that it's in a toy store.

I wonder what that means for the rumoured new Disney owned hotel?

It seems WoDS is selling Eiffel Towers to prevent people buying them from the street vendors. I think that's a good move.

Oh and it's cheaper at EPCOT as well.

Where will the new hotel be situated? Will it be near the other "good neighbour" hotels? If so, I doubt it would affect anything Disney has planned!!!

I guess it will get built where the two Vienna International hotels are located.

The merchandise at Epcot is exactly the same as what they sell all over DLRP (various books, photo frames, coffee mugs, etc. with Mickey and Minnie in front of the Eiffel Tower), except they slap an "Epcot" sticker over the DLRP logo. Yep, it's actually a sticker, and the other logo is underneath it. Keeping it classy!

I saw the Eiffel Towers in the article in Epcot in January, but not at DLP last spring

It seems DLP was thinking about removing the locomotive of the BTM trains.
