Before we get a Star Wars Land, we get a Marvel Land, which I would also like to see one day. However I would prefer SW first. But first Disney should improve the current park and I think it could easily be enhanced. Although WDSP is still Disney's worst looking park, it improved a lot in recent years. Production Courtyard could be transformed into a Hollywood Blvd area, like in Florida.
Yeah, it's so much better, but there's still lots to do before we get new lands (unless those lands are taking over existing areas).
They also did this in Epcot, starting right before last Christmas. It seemed like a fine stop-gap measure to get something in the theater for the peak holiday crowds, but they're still showing it almost 6 months later. I realize that the novelty of 3D movies has worn off in recent years, but I still think that a well crafted 3D theme park experience would be far more worthwhile than replaying shorts that we've all seen countless times at home I've never heard of Journey to the Center of the Earth for DLP, but it would be a great fit! I think it would be a lot of fun to see Mt Prometheus sitting next to Space Mountain, and it would be neat to see where they might route the high-speed loop. It could be like what Rocket Rods was supposed to be for DL, but with an actual darkride component too Of course, it will never happen, but it's fun to dream big!
I'd rather they put Honey I Shrunk the Audience back to be honest. At least it's a show you can't see elsewhere and it could be tied into some anniversary or other I'm sure. Something needs to be done to give people a reason to go to that part of the park. There's certainly plenty of room if they want it.
I'm sure there are no plans about JTTCOTE for DLP, at least I've never read or heard about them. I just mentioned it, because the attraction looks fantastic and it's baed on Jules Verne, which would be the perfect fit, if they would also rethem SM back to De La Terre A La Lune.
Honey, I Shrunk the Audience was fun and it had some great effects, but I don't think that it would draw many people into the theatre. But maybe more than the Short Movies. However I agree with you, I would rather see HISTA at DLP too, than the short films.
I really enjoyed the Star Wars overlay at DL. It would be fun if they temporarily put that in when the new Star Tours opens to make a mini Star Wars land for a summer season. It could celebrate 25 years of DLP and 40 years of Star Wars and would be good publicity.
Since our Space Mountain is much faster and thrilling than DL's, I'm not sure if Hyperspace Mountain would be a good fit. I just wish they would have moved forward with the SW miniland including the Cantina, like in the rumours from a few years ago.

As far as I know DL's and WDW's Space Mountain are different. Just out of interest, on what SM is TDL's SM based upon? HKDL's SM is a copy of Anaheim, or am I wrong?
I'm honestly not sure. If I had to guess I'd say TDL used WDW's, but that is nothing more than a guess. I'm sure Ferret or Mr.X will know.
Wow, it's crazy to see how much of the park is closed at the moment; I'm surprised that the north side of the River is closed; doesn't that block people from getting to the new show in the Chaparral Theater? Will this area reopen before they close Ft Comstock (to get access through Adventureland), or is all of Frontierland going to be closed for a while? It's also funny to see the pavement at the front of the park all torn up, but the landscaping in the planters still looking great. I guess the paving project will move quickly and/or the plants are pretty hearty, but it just looks unusual WDW has a 2-track wild mouse system with in-line seating, most similar to the Matterhorn at DL. It's old, rough, kind of scary for tall people, and just not nearly as great as everybody makes it out to be. Vaguely futuristic sounds were added during the 2009 refurb, but there is no onboard audio DL, TDL, and HKDL all share the same track layout (with all the right turns) and seating configurations (2 cars with 3 2-passenger rows each). Although the ride itself is identical in each, they all have variations in their queues and effects; TDL doesn't have onboard music DLP has a unique layout, with the launch and inversions. The vehicles are more similar to a traditional roller coaster train, and it's the only version with an emphasis on physical sets in the ride itself
Currently there are no shows at the Chapparal Stage, because we are between seasons. The popular Frozen Sing Along will return June 4th and will run until mid September. Thanks for clarifying. So only WDW and DLP have unique SMs. Hopefully WDW will get a new coaster in the near future, because it's a boring and dated ride.
I didn't realize that the shows got changed out seasonally. I guess that new show with Brave, Tangled, Tarzan, etc was just for spring? That makes it even more impressive if it was only intended to run for a few months at a time I was kind of hoping to see that this fall, but I suspect I'll be there between seasons, if Frozen leaves in the middle of September (and I'm not sure I need to see the sing-along anyway)
Yes, the show was just there for spring, but I wouldn't be surprised if it wouls return for Halloween and Christmas. Unfortunately the Frozen Summer Fun was so popular last year among guests, that DLP brought it back, including the sing along show, for this summer too.
It seems like you will not be lucky enough to see it in autumn, but there are chances that the show might return next year.
Well darn! I guess I'll just have to plan another trip then, right? The marionette show looks really cute. I'm not a fan of putting characters into everything, but this is a really clever alternative and seems to fit the theme relatively well. It doesn't look like it's a major addition, but it does look like a lot of fun!
I would have prefered a Can Can dance, like in the Western movies, and I'm sure the Saloons in Paris and in WDW had such a show a few years ago.
