That's how the plans and concept arts of Ratatouille were discovered.

DLP doesn't have the same vacation crowd as WDW - guests typically only book a season in advance - i.e. guests until Christmas are mainly booking for the spring. WDW guests tend to book up to a year or more out. That is driven by the fact that DLP is more of a short break experience whereas WDW is a main vacation destination. If DLP started to market 2014 or 2015 product now it would impact short term reservations and guests contemplate waiting for the "next big thing". WDW can spend years marketing The New Fantasyland as it won't impact short term reservations - it is just one new experience in the vacation. A new E-Ticket at DLP would be very big news and encourage postponement of vacations.

I'm surprised that Media Relations can justify the expense of running that blog in the first instance. However English-speaking guests to DLP are in the minority and therefore unless they start to run multiple languages I can't see it being an effective marketing tool. That said - the US blog folks should be picking up stories from the three foreign resorts - it is odd that they have chosen to ignore them for the most part.

This week TDR and DLP chose their new ambassadors. While TDR was mentioned on the official blog, DLP was left out.

If I can manage to get hold of all of them then you would think that other CMs would be able to do so too!

Originally Posted By leemac <<There have been talks on Micechat, that DLP might add a Jack Sparrow AA to POTC and that something is planned for Phantom Manor.>> Haven't read the link but POTC has a refurb early next year that will see Jack arrive. There have been a lot of Haunted Mansion Holiday-type proposals for Phantom Manor over the years but the decision has always been to stick with the usual Halloween festivities. HMH is easily marketable as something different for DL and TDL whereas the various seasonal overlays have usually leveraged off the existing Halloween stories (like the pumpkinmen etc.) or a new story tied to the building - usually around Ravenswood. The problem is that those aren't particularly marketable and still cost millions to create and install (HMH was $10m if I recall back in '01).
