To jump start things, I'll post a new question, from p. 68 of Disneyland: The First Quarter Century:

Approximately how many handmade vinyl leaves and blossoms were there on the original Swiss Family Treehouse?

For those Disneyland fans who want one of the two bibles of Disneyland history and trivia, "Disneyland: Inside Story" is for you. For years, it was very difficult to come by--but I just checked Amazon today, and there are a dozen or more copies available (used, it was published in 1987) for $50 or under. If you consider yourself a Disneyland fan/history & trivia buff/devotee, you will want this book in your collection.

(The other bible for Disneyland is Disneyland: The Nickel Tour, which I did not search for today.)

Just a thought, what with the holidays coming up. Inside Story for $50 or so is a SCREAMIN' deal.

At any rate: What was the last attraction at Disneyland that Walt Disney personally dedicated?

I sit on the Internet sometimes frequently during the day, but I have a life. I hang out with my family and friends, I take lessons for various things, I have a job and I do volunteer work, etc. Additionally, maybe some of us WANT jobs, but thanks to how screwed up the economy us, not all of us can get one, please save it. I am sorry, I know it was years ago, and I do not like to bring it up again, but I just had to say that.

Anyway, onto the game, is the Haunted Mansion the last attraction Walt Disney personally decorated? (Decorated, do you mean?)

But I believe iasw was the only attraction to receive a formal dedication ceremony led by Walt, with children in their native folk costumes pouring water from their native countries into the ride's flume.
