True...but only when yoou take the Disney name in concideration. There are so many more places on this Earth that I would rather spend a vacation at... and some of them are cheaper than what people pay to come to Disney World.

That's interesting, because that's also how I feel about DL. There, you enter, and then there is all this amazing stuff somehow fit into this pretty tiny land area. In WDW, the giant size of it sort of makes it feel like you're just going to this huge compound that they own and there is no intereaction from the outside world. In DL, there seems to be this almost magical way that it all fits together and you can go all the way around it, similar to the wardrobe. I guess the large scale of WDW seems to parallel the movie version of Narnia, but at the same time, I think I know someone who much prefers the intimate scale of the BBC version of the show. : )

DAK alone if worth coming to WDW, and then, you can have fun comparing the things that are found at both DL and MK/WDW parks as well... and finding out how much nicer they are at DL is worth a trip to WDW as well.. so be my guess and visit WDW!!!!

Exactly. DL is a wonderful island of fantasy surrounded by reality. The separation from the world is illusory, and theatrically well done.

WDW's MK is an island surrounded by real forests and real distance. The separation from the world is real, and engineeringly well done.

Not exactly. See, the way I'm looking at it, DL is a bit odd in that it's "out of place" right smack dab in the middle of this huge city and civilzation. It feels a little claustrophobic going in knowing that "real life" is pressing in on the sides, just trying to get at you (which thankfully it does not)--or maybe I'm biased on that point because I just saw that creepily-claustrophobic aerial picture on plantsofdisneyland.com's home page, LOL. ;-)

But still, it's a more "congested" feeling *getting* there. In WDW, it's much more the Narnian experience of the storyline, of the original book, and both Walden (blech) and BBC (*sigh* :) )...see, Narnia isn't in a wardrobe in the middle of the train station in crowded, bustling London, which would be the DL parallel. No, you have to take a motorcar and drive far out into the spacious, secluded country (i.e., WDW property in our world), and then go into the Professor's house (the parking lots) and *then* into the Wardrobe---the WDW gates. ;-)

That's how I see it as WDW being more like a fantasy realm like Narnia, whichever version you look at.

Interesting quote. Difference is.. Narnia's forrest is covered in snow, and WDW's all ravaged by the hurricanes of 2005. So watch your step and don;t trip on dead trunks.
