That's exactly right, and that's why DL became so dependent on the APs the last few years without any major attraction openings. Without new rides, attendance would have plummeted, and to counter that, they pushed the AP program to get bodies into the park. When push comes to shove, it's better to have some revenue, than no revenue - even if it's less than what you could get otherwise. Short of building another huge blockbuster E ticket, discounting was the only way to keep people in the park. >but anyways, there are way too many >variables, and i don't think any of us >(unless we are part of TDA) are in the >place to say whether or not dland is >making a profit That's very true, and I'm not going to go out of my way to convince anyone I have some insider info - you can believe what you will. If Disneyland is considering eliminating, or reducing the AP program significantly - we at least have a theory why that would be.

If I know Disney they are at the most spending 20-25 per guest at DL. DL has the reputation of paying the least wherever possible. With the exception of high level execs most CMs at DL are getting paid on the low end of the scale because Disney knows for every worker they have there are 10 more who would love to have the job just so they can say they work at DL. I can say I would expect at the end of this month APs prices to go up but I would be very surprised if they went much beyond where they are now. I know myself personally if they went over $300 I wouldn't buy them anymore. I am not saying I wouldn't go anymore but I wouldn't buy a AP.

And, no matter how it happened, congrats to the lucky winners!!!
