But I think that this is a good idea to make a transition holiday.

Of course they didn't start taking those decorations down until well into January (the 12 days of Christmas).

Personally, I won't start until the day after Thanksgiving, but I really have no problem with DL having everything set up so the Thanksgiving crowds can see the decorations. However, the Halloween crowds (is there such a thing...well, maybe now) should not see any Christmas decorations.

As stated before me, there were complaints when the decorations for Christmas started showing up before Halloween. And if you look really closely, Christmas decorations start appearing in some stores as early as the end of Sept.

Of course, the best way to increase attendance is to add new attractions, but those cost big $$$ and take time. I expect that we will see more of these "celebrations", at least until they are no longer deemed effective in bumping up attendance. This is perhaps the biggest downside (for TDA) of having an event like the 50th. Not only is the hype stale, but they have no doubt cannibalized futiure sales wit it. Kind of like when the automakers had their "employee price" sales last year. Sales soared, then plummetted.

Remember, the park makes no money on an AP visit if no money changes hands. And you don't pay money just to board a new Attraction. But "Disney's HalloweenTime" is about the lamest name they've come up with in a while. First, why does everything have be "Disney's"? Will Disneyland Guests not make the connection between Disney and Disneyland if it isn't plastered everywhere? And I HATE the TwoWordsAreOne trend. It is awful. The best named Attractions in the Park are, to me, "Autpia", "Space Mountain", "Splash Mountain", "Haunted Mansion" and so on. Make it simpler, and it is more endearing. Who remembers "Animazement!"? Do you know that its real title was "Disneyland Present . . . Animazement! the Musical"? (Yes, with the "Disneyland Present . . . " included!) <breathe> <breathe>

I'm really hoping that this new event will equal the experience. We really missed this event!
