Fantasmic! was (and is) an amazing addition to Disneyland, but at the cost of pleasant summer evenings strolling along the waterfront in new Orleans Square. I do (always) enjoy the Maharajah Jungle Trek in DAK, even while the masses are rushing to EE. I won't deplore one over the other-- but I do wish the balance had been maintained.

In Paris, there used to be barber shop quartets and marching bands on Main Street, as well as a horse drawn street car. Not so much anymore, the energy has been poored into character meet and greets and their toon train. Not cool. It does not mean they should get rid of the characters altogether, but it is a balance, and as a theme park fan, if it were a choice, I would rather have the land specific theming. Sadly, most people seem to want characters all the time.

While that hasn't happened quite here yet, I am actually very glad there are 3D showings! You see, my partner and I have had this rule for the past few years where we wait AT LEAST three weeks before we go see a new film as I have developed an EXTREMELY low tolerance for teenagers who text, talk and generally make such nuisances of themselves that I stopped going to the cinema all together for a while there. Unfortunately what happened is that sometimes new films come so quickly that by the time the three week window opened(which sometimes stretched to four to five weeks), the film would be gone or only be on at 9:30pm or somesuch godawful hour! What we have seen now is that all the delinquents are going to the 3D sessions and, as they are dumb kids who think "3D IS KEWWWWLLLLLL!!!!!!1!!" and "ROXXORRZZZZ!!!!!1!!!", most 2D sessions are populated by quieter and more respectful older people. More MY crowd! So let the 3D films continue ad infinitum, as fas as I am concerned! Keeps all the stupid kids out of my way!

It has 3 Disney operatives inside monitoring the tap they have on your phone, the 6 bugs they have installed in various light switches. Plus the 3 hidden cameras. They have 2 chase cars down the street to monitor the tracking device in your automobiles. Every time you attend a Doom and Gloom meeting they pay the waitress to plant a listening device on your table. I've even heard they are trying to talk your dentist into implanting a permanent tracking device. All of that even though you remained silent about the Wand coming down, and the Fantasyland makeover.
