When my family is on a longer vacation, we like to set aside one "pool day" because my son, I swear, is part fish! And his number one favorite hotel was DLH, because of the Neverland pool. Our hotel of choice right now is HoJo's, because he's crazy about Pirate Cove, but it lacks the space of DLH. Looking back at the photos I took while there, I was wondering - what if they took the secondary pool and made it into a lazy river that circled around the Monorail slides? The Adventureland Jungle Cruise on an innertube (sort of). Add in landscaping that would totally fit in with Tangaroa Terrace and Trader Sam's, and maybe animal fountains that squirt water from riverbank to riverbank as you float by? Opinions?

The solution, it seems to me, would be to build a third property (or fourth, depending on how you look at it) from scratch, behind the current PPH in what's currently overflow parking. Between these three properties would be a water-park like pool complex, with all the bells and whistles, that was large enough to accomodate guests from any of the three adjacent properties. This would have the added benefit of creating more of a pedestrian friendly 'hotel village' with a centerpiece area that could contain retail, dining and cocktails, and perhaps even a centralized monorail stop - tieing the three separate resorts together. I even thought they could relocate the DCA entrance murals to within this new area - it still galls me that those pieces were demolished. But a third resort with a large shared pool park complex and a more integrated plan tieing the separate resorts together is still a workable idea. Maybe someday ...
