They are perfectly climate controlled and nicely lighted, with vending machines that are always full of product. It's really a very plush setup there in TDA. The bummer is not just the physical appearance, daily cleaning service and more lavish furnishings, it's the coffee and drink service. Park break areas are lucky to have running water, as many don't. But TDA break areas have the full kitchen setup with the beverage service; decaf and regular coffee brewed routinely, filtered hot water with a big selection of tea, creamer, sugar, splenda, stir sticks, napkins, hot cocoa packets, all restocked and tidied up daily. It's like the Taj Mahal of break rooms and complimentary beverages back in TDA. None of that exists in the park break areas, anywhere. It would be nice to have a cup of coffee waiting for you if you had an opening shift, instead of going to Starbucks or McD's and paying for it on your way in. Little simple things really, and I don't mean to be a whiner, but it would make a big difference if the Park Cast was treated the same as the TDA Cast.

That only "professional" staff in TDA get this and not CMs says a great deal about how management feels about the hourly paid staff.

If employees don't like bagging groceries, or changing oil in our cars, work hard at getting a degree - and then, if you don't like that "cushy" office job, you could always go back to a job that lets you say "paper or plastic". It would seem to me that having break areas that all meet at least a certain minimum standard (AC/heat, enough seating, operable and stocked vending machines, water, and no odor) is not too much to ask, would not actually cost a lot of money in the big scheme of things, and would more than pay for itself in terms of CM morale. Not working there and not knowing the specifics, it does seem that from my point of view that this reflects poorly on the attitude of management.
