    NEVER EVER!!!!

But I seem to be in the minority. My dad used to eat liverwurst sandwiches and I hated them.
My husband loves anything that ends in wurst or schweiger.

My family cannot understand why I like it because I hate liver but I do.

My father used to eat it but then again he also ate blood sausage. Now that's really gross.

Another thing this reminded me of that I liked that my father also loved was the herring that came in a jar with sour cream. Anyone else eat that stuff?

I fondly remember livin' at home and Mom bringin' home groceries, and sometimes there'd be a tube of braunschweiger in there. I'd get the tube, open one end, camp out on the couch, and fork out that good stuff straight from the tube into my mouth while watchin' TV.

    Good times.

I've never tried the stuff myself. But now after reading how much some of you guys like it, maybe I'll give it a try.

When I found out it was called liverwurst was quite possibly when I stopped eating it ;) I believe she also had that sourcream herring stuff.

I forgot about blood sausage, that and the head cheese were something my aunts ate but not my mom so it didn't enter our house.

I miss pickled herring, veal parmagiana, and McDonald's Filet-o-Fish sandwiches. But not liverwurst.
