I like to buy DH his glasses at Dollar Tree. I usually go once a month and get him 4 pair. Then, he loses them by the time I get back the next month. I always feel like I am going to save money by buying them there, but I end up spending about $30 on junk to counteract my savings plan.

As far as food goes you just have to be careful and watch the expiration dates or the look of the packaging to determine if it looks safe. I just stick to named brands.

Composing myself. I haven't been to a dollar store since my last DD finished up grade school and I stopped being room mother. I am feeling the need to go now.
I don't think we have one in our town, I need to research.

    Carry on, please :)

My favorite thing to go there for is to fill up the Easter Basket and Easter Eggs. Alot of time I will get the kids boy/girl grab bags and give them out when the kids do a super good job at either school or Holly for potty training.
I also like Honk's $1.05 stores they have cool Disney gift boxes

I buy my reading glasses there too; and yes, I lose them on a regular basis.

Well, I'll tell you 'roon, I bought some plastic spoons there to send in Tony's lunch. They broke when he stuck them into his pudding cup. LOL

LOL I think that's kinda funny. I haven't had that problem yet and I put them in DS's lunch (as well as mine) all the time. But you do have to be careful what you buy there. Some things are really poor quality. Some are cheaper at WalMart. Some may be past expiration dates. So, buyer beware. I used to buy some canned goods there but I rarely do anymore because I have found that they often have an odd taste...like they've been in the can too long. I tend to stick with plastics and paper goods most of the time. But I get pump soaps and certain shampoos there from time to time that are great. They have great doo dads for theme parties too. Most of my family members won't be seen in those stores...I guess I'm just more frugal.

I'm not sure if that's an indictment against dollar store spoons or dollar store pudding!

Also, the dollar store is the only place that I can find shrink wrap basket bags to cover gift baskets. I'm not real crazy about the wrapping paper because I like the thicker-type paper. Since my kids don't sell wrapping paper anymore for fundraisers I'll have to hunt down the neighbor boy!

    ROFLMAO ! ! ! ! ! That is too funny.

In all honesty I did NOT buy the pudding cups at the $store. This was a few years back and yes, they do have heavier duty stuff now and I do buy it for parties.
With this particular plasticware; I think you got a lot more spoons for your $. I was complaining about them and my son said, "I had one break when I stuck it in my pudding! ! ! !" It was a humorous incident.

There have been recalls on the extension cords and lamps in the past due to this.

    I love Dollar Tree!
