Exactly. And the reasons the Penny Arcade was great was a). it was filled with stuff that was NOT available outside, and b). It fit the theme. You knew that these were the machines that people in 1900 or so used to play games on or watch movies on.

Neither was true of the Starcade. It had stuff you could find anywhere, and it didn't fit the theme of "tomorrow," when the same machines were at the mall.

The only bad CM I ran into on our last tip was in the Candy Palace. I wonder if it was the same one. I wanted one of those apple pie apples that several people here said were so good. I thought I'd pick it up on the way out of the park, so it was near closing time.

She looked at me like I was an idiot for thinking they'd have any so late in the day. I guess they commonly sell out of them early. Of course, how was I supposed to know that?

    "You're sold out, then?"

    "Um, yuuuh. HOURS ago."

At least she was the only bad cm I ran into in 4 days. I ended up getting my apple at Marceline's.

People trying to cut in line, people using foul language around my kids, people that litter in the park, people dressed like freaks and/or prostitutes, people that you can tell are just plain "angry" - these are just some of the many things that kill the Disney magic for me.

I know I can just turn my head and ignore most of this stuff but I shouldn't have to. Disney is supposed to be a place to escape the things of the world yet each year I see more and more of the world infringing on the magic of the park.

I Shouldn't have to see 14 and 15 year old girls half clothed when I bring my family to a "family" park. Lack of clothing irks me to no end. I wish Disney would enact some sort of a dress code.

The path between fantasyland and big thunder does seem Disney to me, however it just feels so very sparse. It feels like you're walking in the middle of nowhere. I do like it in th eafternoon when it's really hot out and you can sit on one of the benches in the shade drinking a frozen lemonade. :)

On the unDisney side, all the little seemingly forgotten corners that seem to scream for themeing or an attraction either a new one or to replce and aging one. The sub laggon was the biggest for a long time, but there are other smaller ones, like HISTa or that dreary walkway between the Matterhorn and Club Buzz or Big Thunder Ranch area. BTR could hold a new land, but even that dreary walkway could be dressed up with some paint or murals or something.

Instead of trying to leave the world behind you as you walk through the tents, they use them as a way to advertise for the place that you've already traveled to.

First, If you walk through the Castle into Fantasyland and take a right into Tomorrowland, and walk back to Main Street, U.S.A. There is a pathway that is the same color as the castle, but there is a smoking section. Doesen't really feel Disney to me. Didn't Disney remove smoking from their movies after summer '07? Second, the Tommorowland Indy Speedway. When was there cars in a Disney Movie? (This was built before the movie CARS) And the track you HAVE TO stay on. Third, (the old ride) The People Mover. Disney needed more safety on that.

Small examples, to be sure, but I just wanted to point them out.
