Don't have that problem now (or ever will again!) but I still hate really crowded driving. Is the 10 to 57 route better? Thanks!

Here is yet a Google map link, but if you zoom in close enough you can see the right off-ramp that curves back under the 10/57//71 interchange area.

I have driven three different routes to DL (I10/60/57) (I10/215/91) (I10/57) I like the latter. I like the I-10 westbound for the HOV lane usage for a little ways. And then again on the 57 southbound after passing the 60 interchange area. Do not get too far left here, as there are left exiting lanes to other highway exchanges.

There are two Chapman exits off the 57 that can be confusing as well. One in Fullerton to the north and one in Garden Grove to the south. I will let you guess how I figured that one out on one of my trips?

For Road Info I would suggest the District 7 link here -

If you do annual passes and go frequently, and you like the 91 Freeway. Check into a CA FasTrak Transponder?

If you are a Costco member you can plot gas/eat/bathroom stops right off any of the major freeways along the way too.

Worst day driving 400 miles to DL - Beats any day working!

Also my tip, which you probably already know, is to gas up at the truck stops on the AZ side of the CA/AZ border. Right on the other side it jumps in price by 20 cents it seems and doesn't move out of "gouge me" prices till quite a ways in.
