I like to hit WOD, Sephora (we have one in a town close to us but I like the sales people in the DTD store better) Compass Books and Marcelines. The stores I used to enjoy, Dept 56 and Illuminations are gone. We love the evening time in DTD, the various musical artists (we've bought several CD's:) and the restaurants keep us coming back.

That said, I love just being around it. Its a great place to listen to musicians, see everything lit up, catch a movie (what I usually go for), walk around the hotels, catch the fireworks, etc. My mother LOVES WOD store, its her favorite store all of LA I think. Yeah, end of the day, its another outdoor mall in L.A., but its still a cool one ;). And its a great place just to sit around and people watch. Grab a drink or just an ice cream and just hang out.

Personnally I hope they keep to their plans and expand it into the future. If they are serious about making this a real multiday resort with a new hotel, a new and improved DCA and (hopefully) a third park one day, a bigger DTD only helps to bring them in and keep them there.

I think whats sad is I liked DTD more than I like DCA its first few years ;).

Usually we'll hit up Wetzels for a cinnamon pretzel as there isn't one by us. Sometimes I'll go to WOD to get something specific I saw in the park if the park stores are getting crowded. I'm addicted to the bath bombs from Basin. Don't even get me started on Sephora! I love it! Can only afford to shop there once a year or so but love it! So yeah, they have some stuff we enjoy but not enough for us to hit up all the time.

The bartenders there know me by name (I live in Dallas and visit maybe once or twice a year, so that's impressive to me), and they make an AWESOME vodka martini!!!
