    Ok, last comment.
I don't have any idea who Hermione is. So, I had no idea why the next poster brought that 'topic' up. Anyway, now TK will have something to tell me. I'll just bow out now.

Nuh,nuh, NO. In fact, Trelawney is what proves that old Dumbley is at the most, BI. She is so wacky and incompetent that the ONLY reason he would keep her around is because he, uh, well... let's just say: chicka-BOWM-bowwwwwmm...

Should we just close down the entire website? I get your point, but I mean on your stated basis...

Actually all kidding aside, there's a few comic book characters who are gay. Collossus and Northstar two X-Men. And there's a series called The Authority. They're kind of like an R rated Justice League, two of there members are gay Apollo(Superman type) and Midnighter(Batman type). Electro in the Spider-Man comics is also gay.

And yes I see the irony of this long post from me when I basically said who cares if Dumbledore is gay.

Far be it from me to extend this conversation any further, but I would like to clear up one point that I was accused of here.

If you go back and read my original posts, no where do I accuse you, Mr. X, of being homophobic.

What I did say was that your little "joke" was homophobic. Whether you meant it to be or not, it was. And the sad thing is that you just don't see it that way.

A harmless joke here, a nasty name there ... it all adds up, and what some see as something being "blown out of proportion" is something that I and other gay people have to deal with EVERY DAY.

Moreover, it is something that I expected NOT to see here at LP. Involving Harry or Hermoine or whoever, is this really the place for a "dirty old man" joke to begin with?

Actually, Colossus is only gay in the Ultimate X-Men universe. In the regular Marvel universe, he's straight & has been in love with Shadowcat/Kitty Pryde for years and years.

You do realize witchcraft doesn't exist, right?

Good, because neither does "the gay agenda." :)

(Despite the fact that I see this term thrown out all over the place.)

The Harry Potter STORY are NOVELS. You know like with Wizard of Oz.
I just have to ask, do you rail against the Walt Disney Company, because they have pushed more magic on our kids than JK. Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Little Mermaid, Sword and the Stone with a Merlin character very much like Dumbledore. Peter Pan, Pinnochio, and so on. Snow White alone should have the religious right storming the castle. Serious dark magic and stuff like, cutting the young ladies heart out of her chest and bring it to me in a box. Way more grusome tha little Harry Potter. My guess is its not the Harry Potter stories that scares the right wing, but the popularity. If Harry was on the level of The Scarlet Letter they wouldn't be burning piles of books.
