No, I think you're suppose to go have a couple kids of your own so you won't feel creepy watching other people's kids playing.
It's Disney's plan to drum up more business.

I get to sit down in the air conditioning and my kids can run around and play in an indoor, Dumbo playground?! YES PLEASE.

I would do this for a break even if it didn't result in getting on a ride at the end, the ride is just the bonus.

One of the most challenging things as a Mom with little kids (5 and younger), is waiting in line and trying to keep the kids from running off, or bumping people around them, or hanging from the chains/ropes in the que, etc. It can be so difficult, especially if it's hot and a long line.

This will be a big hit with parents.

And honestly, how many people would wait 90 minutes to ride Dumbo, if they didn't have little kids anyway?

    I don't know......15 year-olds dressed up as Tinkerbell?

Seriously though, I went to DL once with a couple of grown, rather large, women in their late 30's who insisted they HAD to ride Dumbo.

Me either, but then again, I don't have kids and I haven't ridden Dumbo in probably 20 years.

Well, now, this opens up a whole nuther can of worms with FP being added to the mix. Will this speed things up, slow things down, or make no change whatsoever? I think if you combine adding FP with doubling capacity, your standby line just about has to go down. But then people were willing to wait in a 90 minute line under the blazing Florida sun, so it just might be worth it for some to wait in the air conditioning for 90 minutes while their kids run around and have fun. We'll see . . .

Then I'll wear something that matches your skin tone, so I can pretend to be one of your biceps, or something.

Oh man, talk about a low blow!

Nahh, my mind just came up with a couple of unflattering mental images that's all. (albeit interesting ones, in a "bhagavad gita" sort of way)
