Could everyone, no agreed, but let's not make it sound like the vast majority pooled their penny jars and ponied up for DVC either as I do not believe that's true.<< First, like Spirit mentioned above I just have a different POV culminating from my own observations and exposure. I would say what you lay out is now currently more the exception rather than the rule. Now here is where this communication medium has us differing more than we would in person. I would say, which I am hoping is what you are basing your view on, that when OKW was for sale a much much larger portion of members who had bought in were coming from families w/ long histories at WDW and were more than likely staying at the Deluxes. That would be absolutely 100%. I would say though that since about 1998 or 1999 there has been a shift both by Disney and thier own guest where most of the members are coming from the 2nd generation of WDW families and those families were coming out of the moderates, off-property, and WL.

That would be absolutely 100%.< Yes, I would be in agreement with this and also adding the fact that many of the original buyers from OKW also have pruchased additional points at other properties and I think sometimes that is also overlooked in the demographics. I purchased at Vero Beach, I know other who purchased - mostly at Boardwalk. I would agree that the buyers who did not get in the first few years, likely were not those who were going every year for a while. There are some I am sure that the whole time share concept took a while to look into ( which is why I did not buy the first year ) - and without knowing, only guessing, the demographics probably lend themselves to younger families let's say buying into SS than are members at OKW -

Now going to Germany a few years ago I flew 1st class and it was about $7k round trip for 2. Another reason I rarely if ever do that - just seems like a waste of money that could be better spent there.
