I'm bad at coming up with places to meet. I enjoyed Philly when we went nearly two years ago, and would love to do the zoo, but Dave always tells me its in a bad neighborhood. Personally, I think he just doesn't want me to go down there, cause the zoo probably has it's own parking, right?

We always get season passes to Dorney Park. So that might be an idea, although would be a little on the expensive side. But we could always go there on a weekend in May, when the price is lower? And I think it would be the halfway point for Minnimusician, me and beamerdog.

Knobles is another idea, but I think that might be too far for beamerdog and anyone that might be coming from Jersey or Maryland. But it's something to keep in mind for the future as there is no parking fee or admission fee.

Anyone want to start picking dates. Let's say these are our choices: May 6th, May 20th, or May 27th. We can narrow it down from that. Ok, so re-reading Minnie's post, May 6th is out, so it's now down to May 20th or 27th.

Or do you guys want to try for April? Let me know how any of this sounds.

It's right off the Schukyll expressway, so you're not driving in the neighborhood. It's one of the premiere zoos in the country.

DOrney park is okay for me, too. Just not the water park, as it would be pretty boring for Jackson - I don't think they'll allow him in the water, lol!

Going to look up Knobles on google.

Sorry, TDG. It looks like that leaves out driving to Kentucky. Are you near Germantown, TN?

But feel free to throw out ideas for places to meet.

I think the zoo would be a good place to meet. We go several times a year and we've never felt uncomfortable.

Is everyone available on the 27th?Minniemusician, you better not have any more of this music nonsense going on on the 27th! LOL

So, do we want to make plans to do Philly area attractions on the 27th of May? Since most of us will have a decent drive (2 hours for me) do you want to meet for lunch, and then do the zoo? Or we can do zoo in the lunch (I'm assuming they have food in there, but probably not sit down restaurants?)

Both 5/20 and 5/27 are good for me.

My 26 yr old son may come with me.

And just wait, you guys. Going to the zoo with a dog is a riot. Jackson will be entertainment all by himself.

I'd definitely like to take Tyler to see the historical stuff (is it open on weekends?) since he couldn't make the trip with me in November 2004.
