Actually, last time i was at WDW in June, i saw about 50 peeps get told to put their cigarettes out right after they lit them. ALl in 1 day! that was a day i was very proud of Disney.

Don't you think that if one could "just not smoke" they would have done so ages ago. Smoking is a real addiction. One that was a social acceptable and encouraged habit for many, many years.

Every time I think you're a really nice guy, Spirit, you know exactly how to remedy that. I just find it odd that some WDW execs have "files on you". What are they, the FBI?

I never meant/intended/suggested you were a complete idiot. I don't feel that way either. A bit high strung, definitely. I didn't think you understood what I was saying -- you did type 'HUH?' -- so I tried to be clearer. And I know I'm a nice guy by the amount of times I get screwed for doing the right thing, but that's a whole other story. <<I just find it odd that some WDW execs have "files on you". What are they, the FBI? >> You find it odd? I find it sick, bizarre, intrusive and, likely on some level, illegal or at least actionable. But you must understand that when people in authority (even limited to running theme parks) feel threatened, they act out. The fact I have been approached to author a book on WDW, an unauthorized book on how the Mouse really operates behind the scenes, makes some folks in power want to pooh in their pants. I've never claimed to be a typical spirit here, Nikki. I don't want to be either. But when you have a strong voice, are intelligent, are knowledgable and stand out, you're going to make your share of enemies. And once again let me state, how I wish Brad Rex the best in his new job ... and maybe soon he'll be able to have Phil Holmes and Erin Wallace join him ;-)

Maybe that's the reason why so many dead fish have been left at my doorsteps??? Dunno...

If you, as a CM, were to be at the receiving end of those complaints you would want "management" to have kept a record of past complaints. It may very well save your job. When one deals with the public there is no way to know which one is telling the truth. If you have a record of someone continuously complaining about everything then you know how much weight to put on the complaint. Not all procedures have an evil intent. Reading some of the posts in this thread I have to think that it isn't just the public that have a bit of a paranoia problem.

You may have a fund of insider Disney knowledge beyond my understanding, but the way you respond to people on these boards sometimes is just downright rude. I don't take issue with what you know, but how inflated your ego seems to be from that knowledge. However, this is a personal dispute between you and I and for one won't take up any more of this post with this issue.

If you keep complaining (let's say at the MK) because you find dirty restrooms or have a nasty CM or an unsafe situation, exactly what does blacklisting the person do? Is the McCarthy era? Wait, I forgot who's been at 1600 Penn. Ave. the past eight years. I wouldn't waste my time, for example, complaining at City Hall because I want things changed ... I don't want a free ticket or a free breakfast at the Crystal Palace ... but it's scary the way companies can operate. I can recall dealing with Gateway over a plasma TV (best advice, don't ever spend a penny on one of their products) and spending days jumping thru hoops just to get a repairman out for a $3,000 purchase. When it was finally 'fixed' on two occassions, it failed and I had to begin the process all over again ... which starts with being on hold for 60 minutes before a person in India picks up and tells me 'Sir, I'm sorry I don't have your problem on my screen.' ... long story short, it ended with the company illegally transferring the serial number from my new plasma to a used/rebuilt/returned one ... when I finally contacted the compay's then-CEO still not much was done. AT that point I just wanted the TV gone and a full refund ... but instead i got to deal with some Orwellian department called th 'Escalation Unit.' Scary. Disney is no better at all. <<Reading some of the posts in this thread I have to think that it isn't just the public that have a bit of a paranoia problem.>> Like what posts, Goof?

I thought you didn't understand something as written and clarified to help and yet again you chose to be insulted when no insult was ever intended. I thought you didn't understand. I guess I mistook what the word 'HUH' could mean. My mistake. <<And I know I'm a nice guy by the amount of times I get screwed for doing the right thing, but that's a whole other story.>> <<I only know you by what you post, and lately you've become more of an egotistical blowhard than usual.>> How sweet. She really, really likes me. <<You may have a fund of insider Disney knowledge beyond my understanding, but the way you respond to people on these boards sometimes is just downright rude.>> I am never deliberately rude to anyone unless they are to me. You know like by calling someone an 'egotistical blowhard.' That's just not nice, Saint Nikki. <<I don't take issue with what you know, but how inflated your ego seems to be from that knowledge.>> I don't have an inflated ego. If anything I sell myself short. If this were the real world I'd tell you (basically a stranger) to just go have a magical day and I'd be done with it. But since this is an online community I try and play nice. I also have a friend, a real world friend on this site, who happens to (for reasons so far invisible to me) have a high opinion of you ... so I try and chalk things up to different personalities and some people taking my no-bull-stong writing voice personally. Like now, I have no clue what put the fireants in your pants ... really ... no clue ... except you apparently live for perceived insults where none exist. <<However, this is a personal dispute between you and I and for one won't take up any more of this post with this issue.>> So now it's a dispute? I thought it was a discussion and I'm more than happy here to continue it. One thing I won't do is play like you did with VBDAD and wind up running away because your feelings were hurt. I also won't change my posting style or voice just because it might intimidate some folks.
