I'm not allergic to smoke, but I can't stand the smell. Te other day a woman walked past me in the mall and she smelled like she smoked cigarettes by the caseful. Knowing the hell my brother-in-law is going through right now after smoking for decades, I can't see why anyone would want to start. Quitting is altogether another story. It's an addiction, pure and simple.

That's how all sorts of things can be said. I'm quite comfortable discussing most things right here or else I wouldn't post about them.

I just want to know what the rules are, I've got some great lines waiting in the wing here. Now back to the subject of Disney, the only way I see any effect this will have for most people is you will be able to change rooms easier now if you get a room somebody has been smoking in. I never had this happen to us at WDW, but I am concerned that it will now. You can only push people so far, and then they start rebelling. On another note I just stayed in a non-smoking room that had resently been converted over from smoking, the people were kind enough to let me know. I couldn't tell it had ever been smoked in so I'm sure Disney's methods of cleaning will be equally as good.

Otherwise, your just basically being ignorant and calling me a liar and I don't appreciate it. But I do beleive in free speech, so I won't go crying to anyone here to close the topic (I give it about 23 more posts before that happens). <<I can only hope that sometime in my lifetime I can be as all knowing and perpetually correct as yourself.>> I only wish I were as all-knowing as some insecure folks here believe me to be. My life would be so much easier if that were indeed the case. <<Have a Magical Day!>> Right back at you!

I don't like the lack of freedoms we now have due to the current administration. I'm sorry if that hurts your world-view. Having just come back from two weeks in FREE societies, I'm very tired of the right-wing telling us how great we have it yada, yada, yada. <<Does this mean that politicans of the Democractic party are up for attack, no matter what the subject is about.>> Sure. Attack the Demos if it makes you feel any better. It's funny how when you criticize the prez, the Republicans, the war, the absolute destruction of so many personal rights (in the name of getting the 'evildoers' ... gotta love that homespun WalMart talk) people assume you're a Democrat. I can't stand either party as they now stand. And just an FYI, I'm a Republican. <<I just want to know what the rules are, I've got some great lines waiting in the wing here>> I don't ever believe in saving your best material. You may never get another chance to use it. So got for it! And as to the original topic, if anyone thinks Disney is going to successfully charge DVCers (who may have invested $50,000 or more) $500 for smoking in 'their' units, I would say you're smoking something other than tobacco. N-E-V-E-R going to happen. Never. But it reads nice on a press release.

Maybe I have a solution for you. >> Having just come back from two weeks in FREE societies, I'm very tired of the right-wing telling us how great we have it yada, yada, yada. << Why not give this Utopian society a try. I'm certain you could find hundreds of better places to live than this depressing country, and NO I'm not saying "America, Love It or Leave it", I just couldn't resist throwing that in. Now I really don't care if you hate the present administration, and I don't care if you hate the war, and I don't care about you stand on civil rights or how you feel about abortion, and I'm all for a good joke about either political party, as long as it's not just one sided' and enters the arena of discussion on a regular basis. What I do care about is your opinion about WDW. Now I don't own this site Dobbie is the Puppet Master, so I was only making a statement about how I felt about your on going fued with the current administration. Now I can't play anymore because my Mom is calling me in for supper, but I'll be right back here tomorrow.

I love America. I do not love what Bush and his cronies have done to it. And I am a registered Republican. No, I won't prove it. That's my last word on that subject in this thread. <<Now I really don't care if you hate the present administration, and I don't care if you hate the war, and I don't care about you stand on civil rights or how you feel about abortion,>> Honestly, since you're the only one who brought up my 'shot' at the right-wing, I would guess you care a lot. Otherwise you wouldn't have said anymore and I wouldn't have followed up and so on and so on. <<What I do care about is your opinion about WDW.>> Great./ What would you like my opinion on about WDW? I have plenty ... and I love sharing. <<Now I don't own this site Dobbie is the Puppet Master, so I was only making a statement about how I felt about your on going fued with the current administration.>> Uhm ... I am suffering from a Nikki moment and I don't want to attack you for it, so can you clarify as to what administration you're speaking of? George Bush's or Meg Crofton's? And just to clarify on my part ... I am not feuding with either. <<Now I can't play anymore because my Mom is calling me in for supper, but I'll be right back here tomorrow. >> Supper? Must be a New Englander ... What's she cooking? Maybe I can ride my Merc... I mean bike over and eat with you. My Mom left me alone and I had to eat at McDonald's.

We weren't having a personal discussion. <<If you don't want to e-mail and you want to continue, I'll be happy to start a thread in World Events just for this topic. >> I have never ever posted in World Events and I have zero intention of starting now. And please, Nikki, enlighten me as to what topic it is exactly you think we're discussing. This is the same M.O. you pulled on VBDAD (and I wasn't even involved in that thread). You simply can't ever give anything a rest. I find it odd, especially since weeks can go by without you posting a single thing ... but then you'll sink your teeth into some thread that morphs far from the original topic and you'll hang on like a rabid pitbull. I don't understand it at all. Again I'll ask, what exactly is your problem with me (other than being a chronic soda thief) and what discussion do you think we're having?
Originally Posted By NikkiLOVESMickey <<Again I'll ask, what exactly is your problem with me (other than being a chronic soda thief) and what discussion do you think we're having?>> Your pompous attitude and my problem with it. Your complete lack of regard for the validity of the opinion of anyone but yourself and a select few on this board. It's obvious by your responses that you believe yourself to be far more knowledgeable than the rest of us...and believe me, I'm not the only one who's noticed it. You've said yourself that humility is not a quality that you possess. <<<<Spirit, I offered you the option of e-mailing me beause I didn't want to further interrupt a Disney discussion with our personal discussion. >> Please Nikki ... don't be so glib. If you can't see where someone would be offended by the response "What part don't you understand?" when asking a question (and "huh?" was a question/expression of surprise at your statement) then I suggest you take a look at a book outlining the guidelines of simple manners and etiquette. Maybe this is a case of the straw finally breaking the camel's back. I've been witness to your attitude for goodness knows how long, and I've just grown tired of it. You speak to people as though they're below you, as though their brains are far too tiny to even imagine the amount of intelligence that you possess, allowing you to be an authority on so many things. Is there any topic in which you don't believe you're the authority?

Even when they are at odds with mine if they are expressed intelligently and articulately. <<It's obvious by your responses that you believe yourself to be far more knowledgeable than the rest of us...and believe me, I'm not the only one who's noticed it.>> I KNOW I have far more knowledge on TWDC and its parks and the way they're run than the typical fan who posts here. I have had Disney execs tell me I know more about the company than I do. Does that make you feel small? Insignificant? If so, that's your choice. But my experiences and knowledge run long and deep. I'm not going to lie about it because it makes you feel lesser. See a therapist. <<You've said yourself that humility is not a quality that you possess.>> Yes. I've said that in jest. <<<<Spirit, I offered you the option of e-mailing me beause I didn't want to further interrupt a Disney discussion with our personal discussion. >> Please Nikki ... don't be so glib. I have no intention of changing to make some stranger on an Internet Disney fan site feel better about herself. And if you think I'm going to discuss my 'attitude' in email with you then all I can say is you're delusional. <<If you can't see where someone would be offended by the response "What part don't you understand?" when asking a question (and "huh?" was a question/expression of surprise at your statement) then I suggest you take a look at a book outlining the guidelines of simple manners and etiquette.>> I don't need one. I am not the one involved in childish name-calling. And I haven't ever told anyone here they need to change their attitude even if they think (for example) that the MK has never been better. I simply was responding to your post ... for the last time when someone writes 'HUH?' it is very rational to assume they don't understand something and since things can get misinterpreted in the Internet world I wanted to see if you were missing something. <<Maybe this is a case of the straw finally breaking the camel's back.
