Disney is one very special company ... unlike any other. For decades many have come to this very special world .. whether through tv, film, theme park, other. Let me make an example: Horizons, World of Motion, original Journey Into Imagination. They are gone. And they were very special and unique. You are not going to see anything similar at Universal, Six Flags parks, Sea World, or even WallyWorld! Only Disney was and is the only company capable of pulling off the type of magic no other company in the world can pull off. People look to Disney for the only source of "magic" that can be found in on this planet. And when that magic straddles into mediocreland .. you're going to hear an outcry. And those on the boards so well versed with world finiances ... pull back for a moment. If you don't have a good product to sell then there's no point in discussing stockholders because they aren't GOING TO BE any stockholders when the company folds! Sometimes I feel people who by stock in a company buy it only to get that dividend check .. and have very little to no interest in the company vision. Not to say anyone hear on the boards feel that way. But this post is a reaction to this "Stockholders rule the world" thing .. when it's the BUYING CUSTOMERS are the ones who rule. No decent product = lack of interest to buy it = 'buh-bye' company (and 'buh-bye' stockholders)

So because of this, you consider it OK to make juvenile comments about dart boards and "Iger's ugly horse face"? Childishness doesn't bother me, but as you pointed out, this is a discussion board. If you come on here and be juvenile, we will tend to discuss it.

Originally Posted By TheRedhead "Or, why would have been booed as he was on May 5th." That question has been answered already: People today lack class. And this topic drives that point home.

We all know he could have done a better job in the last decade. He copped out .. and many people are angry. I didn't go to Disneyland on May 5th. For me, the real celebration is on July 17th, in which I do plan on attending. I understand the desire to call out any behavior that would be considered 'uncalled for'. But in this case - I understand it.
