    So she wrote a book about the struggles of growing up black in Arkansas in the 30's & 40's and was active in the Civil Rights movement. That makes her a person who does not love the U.S.? I think she probably loves the country and worked to make it better more than you ever will.

    Sorry if you think this is a cheap shot, but your post certainly was. You can't even give her the courtesy of using her pen name??
