But it seems to me that they could carve out a route through the current off-stage areas but implement differently than they do in Paris. I think that in Paris, there are permanent side passages that were designed for alternate guest flow from the start. I think it's true that there simply isn't room for such a permanent feature at DL, unless you took off the back portions of some stores. But who's to say that it has to be implemented the same way? From time to time, they've already created alternate guest passageways off-stage behind the main street stores when there's otherwise been impossible congestion on main street. So, we know that there's room for guest passageways along the entire length, including ingress and egress at either end. The problem is that those areas are usually off-stage, and serve delivery, trash, break, and other functions that must be maintained. What if they took both functions in mind, and made the corridor a dual-use one? That is, have it finished off such that it looks acceptable for on-stage use, with things like dumpsters and service equipment that can be put behind facades for the small number of evening hours where guest use is needed. Then, during the rest of the day, facades can be removed and it can function as it does today.
