They don't care if we ride the attractions or not.

The only two evidences are the Hidden Mickey in Screamin' and Animation. That was the original plan and management stuck to that plan. Only after the WDI preview did they begin to realize that there was an "image" / identity problem. And so by opening day a few of the biggies were brought in. And they looked very out of place. There is no speculation about it, the new guard thought they could sell a non-Disney, Disney theme park in California and they blew it. Look how far they have begun to backpaddle.

Afterall, Great Moments w/Mr Lincoln, COP, It's A Small World weren't in Disneyland's masterplan either. And it wasn't in the plan when they were building it for the World's Fair either - it was only an after thought. Walt did it for the free research and development of new attractions. For the Fab 5 in DCA, at least they were put in EVEN BEFORE opening day - so that would have been a revised master plan.

So to have people on your mailing list talking about this post as some justification really shocks me. Please don't read so much into that post and don't overreact to it.

I would rather spend my evenings in DL, watching the fireworks, than an electrical parade that hasn't changed in over five years. Believe gives me another justification to spend my evenings in DL. Wont it have to cross the Esplanade to get to DCA?> Isn't there access between the two Parks? An underground access way near the backstage of "Splash" and connecting to near the back of 'Y'Arriba' That way the floats could be run back to Small World area....it's a long haul but it can be done... I'm kind of guessing here -- can anyone confirm? Can anyone confirm?

I got a rare opportunity to see the Electrical Parade rehearsing the other night, and let me tell you that I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy to see it that I cried!!! The floats look so nice right now! I saw it for the last time on November 24th, 1996, which was the second to the last night that it perfomed. I recall the floats looking run-down, with missing, burned-out, or faded light bulbs, and torn canvas. But they are so perfect right now! The light bulbs are brilliant and all working, and the canvas is bright and untorn! FINALLY Disney got something right!!! LONG LIVE THE ELECTRICAL PARADE!!! :-D
