But, Robert's outfit at the ball looks a lot like Beast's, and the camera focuses on the chandelier, which may be a reflection of that film.

Also, Morgan, the little girl, has a Cinderella book in her room.

Dumbo is playing on the hotel TV.

You also see a scene from a live-action version of Robin Hood, but I can't tell if it's the Disney version.

I don't think anyone has mentioned this yet... I noticed in the last scene after they are all playing in Morgan's room the camera pulls back through the window and we see the outside of the building. There are what looks to me like carvings in the stone very much like the animal carvings we see in Snow White.

I'm convinced that the green troll who deep down is really a nice guy is their homage to "Shrek".

And I suspect that Pip the chipmunk was reenacting "The Passion of the Christ" with that coat hanger. :)

That comic book featured a scene that got dropped from the movie of Snow White making a model of the prince she wishes for out of pots and old clothes. Exactly the same thing Giselle did at the beginning.

I believe that the song "So Close" is played in 6/8, not 4/4, which is still a waltz beat. :)

ORGOCH: Heck! that Giz-smell gal had it best of all! She married some goomer who makes more money than any prince there ever was! A dang LAWYER!!

ORGOCH: In a bat's butt!! I don't remember seein' no invite comin' in the mail!!

    ORWEN: Me either.

ORDDU: Well, dears, I'm sorry but that's what happens when one of you is too busy hunting frogs while the other one is out hunting for Krispy Kremes. I would have taken you both along but the two of you were nowhere to be found. On a more positive note, though, I was lucky enough to sit next to Gaston at the wedding!!!

Umm...didn't he smell bad? Being dead and all. But then I bet you find that charming, don't you, Orddu? ;)

So it would take a lot more than THAT to kill him. No, he merely picked himself up, dusted himself off and hurried over to my place where he knew he'd be well taken care of. Naturally he had some cuts and bruises for me to attend. But I've always loved to play doctor, in case you didn't already know...

The Working Song thing had a lot of animal action that was lifted from similar Disney scenes. Like the toilet-scrubbing scene in Oliver and Company. (KIDDING!) One in particular I noticed - the three singing roaches on Giselle's finger. Just like the singing bees on Uncle Remus's finger in Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah.

I think you guys got all the other ones I caught, but if I remember something else, I'll be back.

IMHO, the animation looked more Don Bluth or early DreamWorks (especially Sinbad) than Disney. Perhaps it was because they had to make it look like the live actors. But I enjoyed it immensely anyway, and they certainly nailed the Arielface look. The rest of the movie was pretty good too, if a bit too by-the-numbers for my taste. Not many surprises in it. The musical numbers were great fun, and Amy Adams was awesome.

Note to self - never ever EVER wait this long to see a movie. It was at a $2 theater. The print was trashed, the sound was terrible, and the projector refused to stay in focus. Ya gets what ya pays for. When the DVD comes out, I'll actually get to SEE it.
