I'm just glad my kids aren't scared by it. I think my younger ones aren't scared because they see my older ones are not sscared. Not only is it loud but that Tiki Goddess is quite menacing if you sit of the front row. Still, I vote in favor of under new mgt.

Especially now that S.I.R. has been dumbed down for the toddler generation. I need a Villanland NOW!!!

It amazes me that the original in Disneyland is again holding an audience. It was shortened by one number-- the Barcarolle "dancing waters"-- but that section really slowed down the performances. (Audiences in 1963 were not as enamored of MTV style pacing the way today's audience is.) Under New Management is again failing to attract guests. The Tiki Room, on the other hand, has been posting record numbers. So by that standard, anyway, there's something to be said for being fearlessly sentimental.

I'll have to remember to sit down with him tonight and tell him that the Tiki Room is scary and no fun." Goodness, was that necessary. I was expressing my opinion and my reason for my opinion. That venom was not needed. I am glad that your 3 year old liked it but I can assure you that I witnessed many, many 3 year olds and above, scared to tears. If that is good show for a Disney attraction then I guess I am wrong. Disney always had an element of scare in all his stuff but you usually knew ahead of time that it was scary. Haunted Mansion, Alien Encounter, and POTC (dead men tell no tales)are examples that jump to mind. My recollection of the Tiki Room was a sweet, for the most part, family show. Yes it had the "gods" getting angry but it built up to that. Again it is just my opinion, I'm entitled to it and I stick with it.

Being from the renewal period of animated films, Lion King and Aladdin were good movies to pull characters from. Even an old school Disney lover like me can find fun in the new show. And I am gonna get one of those red feathers. I never noticed that before.
