I just want to know what he means by the traditions of Disney being to constraining. If he means we need to keep improving as a company, setting higher goals than our past traditions did, and improving customer relations with new adventurous, and innovative ideas for entertainment, I'm all for it.

However, if he thinks there's one element of quality in the Disney product that can be overlooked to strengthen the companys bottom line, he has me worried.

Change has the potential to be a wonderful thing. It also has the potential to suck.

    A) HISTA and the Magic Eye will be closed soon, hopefully for the long delayed, but often discussed Imagination overhaul.

    or...

    B) EO is coming back.

    Let's hope it's the former.

As for someone mentioning Depp as Dreamfinder, good God no. That man is seriously getting on my last nerve...

Hmm.. interesting, but having your maintenance pulled is a death knell. No matter what is coming, if this is true then HISTA is a lame duck.

EO would be a nice thing for Nightastic, though.

But who knows. MK has needed something for 15 years before FLE was announced.

Turns out attendance was pretty bad in 92-93 when they opened nothing (last event was 91 with Surprise in the Skys).

94 was even worse, but they redid Spaceship Earth, introduced Innoventions, HISTA, and began the Flower and Garden festival.

Then the park trended up, but got something every single year. 95 the Land was overhauled, 96 Energy and introduced Food and Wine.

97 was supposed to be when Test Track opened. So that year was blank, unintentionally, with Test Track opening in late 98. 1999 they opened the second version of Imagination and redid Innoventions again.

2000 saw the Millennium with Tapestry and Reflections of Earth.

2001, Epcot's absolute worst year, saw nothing - and it got the "Epcot" wand, which is akin the other "worst" year 94 when they branded the park Epcot 94. Bad decisions for the park's brand mark its worst years.

2002 Imagination #3 opens, then in '03 there's Mission: SPACE and Reflections of China. Then 2004 with Turtle Talk opening and Wonders closing.

2005 was Disneyland's 50th and Epcot opened Soarin. That was followed in 2006 by Nemo. 2007? That's when they redid Mexico, Canada, and Innoventions again (new theme, attractions opened sporadically).

2008 they redid Spaceship Earth (late 2007 technically) and in 2009 they put more stuff in Innoventions including its first major "attraction" in Sum of all Thrills and the 3D interactive film Stormstruck.

2010? They're adding restaurants/capacity, redoing lots of shops in World Showcase (the UK is getting redone next, and France has that new perfume place coming). That's actually very similar to 2002, which while "nothing major" did include lots of little things in World Showcase like small additions to Mexico (frozen margaritas, ring carver, those little add-ons).

Anywho, as for announcing things.. M:S was announced April of 2000 and Soarin was announced September/October of 2003 (they had begun construction before formally announcing it.)

2-3 years lead time. If anything will open in 2012-2013 they will announce it soon, possibly the end of the year.

Damn, that would make it perfect. Heh...And I could actually see them doing that. It's cheap...and half done. ;)

More parallels from this version of SSE to the older versions. I like.

No, I'd think it'll be UoE or Imag.

That's why you market it, and tie it into something else. *coughInnoventionsRefubcough*

Seriously, what's up with that? They painted the Breezeways, put up some nice railings, got rid of some old signs, NOW WHAT?
