That's because it's not TDO's idea, its WDI's. Last time I heard TDO may be strongarmed(and no not the Harry Potter kind, unfortunately) into another project.

I come up with the best ideas on the toilet...

Thanks for the clarification MousDad. I knew you had posted that before, I just couldn't remember where he said it.

So Dreamfinder was never completely off the table. Mr Iger covers himself very well. He saids a lot without actually saying or commiting to anything. He would make a fine politician.

Yeah, and knowing Iger, he didn;t know what the hell he was talking about.

It would be akin to asking Erin Wallace on October 1st 2007 what side of Spaceship Earth she was standing by, what the proper name of the pavilion she was looking at, and where EPCOT was originally dedicated.

And PLEASE, someone tell me, where these references are from. ;)

Was it around the side by the theater, where it would have been on the second level of the pavilion?

However, if it was upstairs (like I'm imagining in my mind), that would mean that they completely gutted the buildings, including the floor that the attraction was on, and built an entirely new one below it. That just doesn't seem like something Disney would do, especially since it would require the entire bottom level of the pavilion to have been constructed (much of it below ground level), and just be sitting there while the original attraction ran upstairs.

I know what I'm picturing must be wrong, but it just seems to make so much sense. Especially since people keep referring to how the old Imageworks is still (semi) intact upstairs, that would make sense with the original attraction being up there too. I think I'm going crazy.

It was exactly as it is now, but if you were to walk into the pavilion, the queue was where all the "iced" glass and the reception desk is now. When you walk out of the "lobby" area of the queue, you are walking onto where the ride track began, and actually over it.

The queue was inside the ground floor of the front glass pyramid. The spiral staircase and elevator can still be seen in the gift shop, plus there were two escalators, one up (near the ride exit), and and one down leading to a breezeway leading up to the Magic Eye Theatre. The Kodak sponsored gift shop was located outside the theatre near the "Leap Frog" fountains. Why they would ever remove any of the original is just beyond me? JII was my favorite attraction just after Horizons.

Imagine version 1.0 being some of your fondest childhood memories, and then riding version 2.0. Soul crushing. Yet, it also started my drive to work for WDC/WDI and better the company, so that's always good.

On another note, there's nothing quite like studying to EPCOT Center music...
