I love the dinosaurs. UoE should retain the best of its "awe inspiring" quotient, and the prehistoric scenes were a big part of that.

Like I said... at this point, it's not even worth considering a rumor, but I've got the good fortune to be involved on something that could result in that part of Future World really coming back in a great way.

    Two words: No Oil.

With all due respect, I disagree. Walt left behind a fairly clearly articulated vision of his EPCOT. What was not clear was how to make it happen without Walt.

Exactly, without Walt, they couldn't impliment his ideas. There was no "driving force" anymore, so they were all second guessing themselves and playing it very safe.

Just the HUGE ride vehicles were something to see. It's unique, I'll give it that. I would really love to see a non-oil themed energy pavillion though! Electricity, and other fuel sources would be more interesting. But, then what to do about the dinosaurs?

Unfortunately, I don't really know what energy company would sponsor it because most of the ones in the US are still clinging on to oil and coal and not investing in future technologies.

They also have a lot of cool gizmos that could be used in the show.

The GE "EcoImagination" campaign is more of a publicity effort than a real R&D effort. Although GE has been in the wind turbine business for years, I wouldn't rank them at the forefront of companies developing alternative energy resources. It certainly makes for a good 30-second commercial, though.

Again, I respectfully disagree. There is no "guessing" at all what Walt intended EPCOT to be. This line of reasoning is invoked whenever there is criticism that EPCOT Center was NOT what Walt intended.

I have no argument that with Walt gone, there was no corporate will to move forward as he intended. But I do not believe that this was because no one knew what his intentions were.

There's some speculation that even Walt wouldn't have been able to finish EPCOT the city as he had envisioned it. We'll never know.

    Most, perhaps. But not all.

Yeah right, like you know people who work at those parks and can get you in for free... Don't insult our intelligence.

    >>But in any case, give a shout out to me if you see me around town, a fat American (not hard to find)<<

Actually it would be quite ahrd to pinpoint you. For one thing, most everyone at WDW is fat. Plus with all of the japanese starlets running around, it's quite often you would find a fat american next to two japanese office ladies on vacation at WDW.
