This line of reasoning is invoked whenever there is criticism that EPCOT Center was NOT what Walt intended. I have no argument that with Walt gone, there was no corporate will to move forward as he intended. But I do not believe that this was because no one knew what his intentions were.

I agree with DlandDug that the pieces were there, but I don't think there was nearly enough detail for the other execs to continue with the plan. There's some speculation that even Walt wouldn't have been able to finish EPCOT the city as he had envisioned it. We'll never know.
