The "audio" part of the name is based on the early programming system, where audio tones were used to trigger the events. Of course the technology has been upgraded now, and all events are controlled by computer codes. But originally it was audio that ran the show. Not the audio of a talking character, but electronic audio tones that were heard only by the machinery being triggered. And if you're looking for the source on that, try Walt Disney, in the 1967 program From Pirates of the Caribbean to the World of Tomorrow, an episode of the Wonderful World of Disney. So once again, we all laugh at the foolishness of a petty little newbie, who refuses to learn from his clear superiors. TEE HEE! (Hey, I'm just trying to talk in mousefun's language!!!)

Yeah, it's not here in the USA. Too bad it wasn't a smash hit out-of-the-gates. Maybe that might have enticed the company to clone it. It will be interesting to see how the upcoming rehab/retheming will affect interest.

Especially after showing you over 10 sources that defy everything you are saying. My god (and Im an athiest!) [I don't suppose you've ever heard of the pot calling the kettle black.] No, Im only 25. Think I heard my great great grandma use that once. [I would much rather talk about Disney's trend toward removing any trace of AA in all Disney parks. [I think they started that with DCA.] Really now? MuppetVision 3-D, Superstar Limo, Monster Inc...all have AA's. Boy, Danny boy!

Originally Posted By danyoung >He knows he's wrong, but continues in order to get his jollies out of seeing who'll play his game.< It became most obvious with the last post. A child of 4 could have plainly seen that AA didn't have anything to do with audio effects heard on an attraction, but with control of the mechanisms. But he's a cute lil guy who will continue to give us amusement for awhile, I'm betting.

Also, I am not belittling Eddie Sotto - I have a lot of respect for his work, DLP's Main Street is amazing. However, to my knowledge (which is about 30 years worth of reading, visits and interviews) he has not worked on any AA projects. I don't have the time to root out quotes here and there. Take me for who I am. Many here know that my knowledge on Disney history is strong. And if you don't take my word on these things, that's fine. It's your prerogative. Now if you want to talk about the worrying trend in AA's look at WDSP - No AA's there whatsoever!
