And it was so crowded!! We got there about 10:30 am went to get a Soarin' FP and guess what time our FP was for? 5:30 pm!!! About 4:30 that afternoon, the regular wait time was 210 min. There was a line for everything!!! The wonderful boat ride in Mexico was lined up to the circular entrance into the outdoor Market Place. Spaceship Earth was lined up as I remembered back in the 80's early 90's. The boat ride in The Land had a line; everything had a line!!!! The place was hummin'!!

Jim_n_Ruth ~ you've got that right! And I'm old enough to enjoy it to the fullest.

Get a brochure on it and don't miss it.

It will be a community of tomorrow that will never be completed, but will always be introducing and testing and demonstrating new materials and systems. And EPCOT will be a showcase to the world for the ingenuity and imagination of American free enterprise."

As of today, what percentage of EPCOT is in compliance with this statement?

As extraordinary as EPCOT Center was, it was still merely a theme park. It's even more so now.

For some reason most of the hotels in DC where booked this week, I have no idea why. So I simply stayed in Fredricksburg and commuted in and out of DC using VRE. All I have to say is that you definatley want to take the train in/ out of DC. Union Station was incredible. The Smithsonian was incredible. I will never say a bad uneducational thing about Epcot again. The Smithsonian is everthing Epcot is not. And hey at the Daughter's of the American Revolution building I even got to take their elevator which they refer to as the DAR amusement ride! Thanks trailsend I did go to the International Spy Museum which was very very good. I especially liked the stuff they had on Julia Child it really went well with seeing her kitchen at the Smithsonian. The Smithsonian Museum of Americana has a display showcasing Disneyland's 50th. While at the National Postal Museum I got a whole bunch of Disney stamps.

Right now I'm over in Kentucky outside of Cincinnati visiting family and enjoying the sights. I have never been to Kentucky before, the grass looks incredible and horses everywhere! Today I had lunch at the Hofbrauhaus in Newport Kentucky. Here is their website:

I also did a shopping spree at a Plow and Hearth store while in Virginia. Here is their website:
