This could be done at other attractions also. Now CDS CAN be good. At Pirates we got 45min lunches because we were so far from Mouseketeria. So when i came back it just kept assigning me "tasks" for an hour. So i basically did nothing for 2hrs because i was not in the Pirate rotation and doing miscealleous tasks instead. But if you were at sya.....Mansion.....and you had a Coordiantor that did not like you..say...you could end up doing teh SAME first 3 positions. Stretch 1, Load 1, Wheelchair. AAAAAAL DAAAAAY for 6-8hrs.

They may not always have a great time, but I think they do LOVE the parks or they wouldn't be there in the first place. They work difficult hours in lousy weather for low pay. They are there because in spite of it all they love the Parks and do their best (most of the time) to provide a MAGICAL experience. Sure, there are a few bad CM around, or good CM who have a really crappy day. But overall, they provide an experience better than employees at any other theme park I've visited.

Regarding C of P, I think that they should have a rule that says no one should be allowed to leave the theater until the show's over. This isn't like Innoventions. They've got to come in, sit down, watch the show until it ends, then leave. It's the only way to avoid incidents like this, and they'll be safer too. That moving theater can be really dangerous.

I do think the difference is that Disney is one of the few companies that I can think of that people dream about working at. I think that sets up some pretty big expectations for incoming CM's. Some deal with that ok, some find it difficult and some don't last more than a couple of days. The other thing about Disney is that since it is the largest employer in the area many people go there when they need a job with a good idea that they will be able to get one. Once the reality of life as a Disney CM sinks in some decide to stay and make a career but many end up leaving within months when something better comes along.
