Oooohh, and I just love, love, love Strangeland! You go, Capt Howdy!

The grosser the better for me.

The Saw films I love...Have no clue what this lastest one will bring to the table but I have enjoyed the overall series...There actually seems to be some effort to tie them all together if you can keep up with all of the different things going on...I am still blown away by the original and I would have been happy had there not been a sequel...I thought the first one was pure genius in the way the story was put together...For me they should have left it there....

There is a new movie coming out (on the 31st I beleive) called "Trick R' Treat" and it looks to mix a little bit of everything scary. It's been delayed getting to theatres for awihle, but hopefully it will really come out this time.

I cannot do the gory movies unless it's the old ones like the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I watched one year on IFC and they had played it with the commentary track on - it made it go from horror to comedy kinda like Mystery Science Theatre 3000!

I love the movie "Rebecca". I first saw it one rainy afternoon when I was a teenager. It was just the kind of movie I was in the mood for that day.

I've never seen any of the "Friday the 13th" movies or the original "Chainsaw" movie. I saw a re-make with Renee Zellweger and Matt McConaughey. God, it was horrible.

Unfortunately, this link has some other "interesting" things in it (not for kids). But the skit is awesome:

I guess I'm kind of in the minority because I don't like bloody scary movies, but I love spine-tinglers, especially the older ones.

For those of you who've seen it, how bad (blood wise) is the original Halloween? I've always wanted to see it, but I've been afraid it would be too gory for me.

Oh, and one more movie (might get me booed, lol): the remake of The Haunting from the 90s. I know it's definitely not the best movie, but it does scare me horribly. I can't even think about it without my heart racing, especially the scene where the main girl is in that rotating room with the mirrors & sees herself getting pregnant in the mirror (via the ghost of her great-grandmother). That scene really, really creeps me out, between the visuals and the music.

Actually there's very little blood in it. The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a film that perceived as a gorefest but there's not much blood in there either. But both films since they were amongst the first slasher films people think that they started this gore trend but it really was Friday the 13th that got heads rolling.

The original Halloween film has about three drops of blood in it...John Carpenter was very clever how he created the tension and suspense without having to resort to any bloodletting...There are no outrageous scenes in this film other than things hiding in shadows, etc...Still my all time favorite for major boo's throughout.....

it does remind me that Blair Witch is always a good scare too.
