    I don't know if this is a regional thing or what, but as a kid growing up in the St. Louis area, I knew pomegranates as "Indian apples."

Big Hayden mangoes can't be beat! Red lychees from the lychee tree very sweet, sticky, sticky jack fruit, star fruit, dragon fruit, mountain apples all good, but if you have the chance to eat the custardy fruit of the durian try it! The fruit smells awful! My father use to cut it up outside and scoop out the seeds and flesh then triple bag the skin and dump it right away. The taste is sweet like a pudding. Durian milkshakes ohhhh man. Great now I'm craving guavas and mangoes. :9

    You've piqued my interest in trying more exotic fruits. In Asian supermarkets, you can get guava juice and other exotic juices.

    I didn't realize until a few years ago that pomegranate seeds are entirely edible, but there again they're hard to chew. I just eat 'em like seeded watermelon.
