For more than 24 hours, CNN, AP, Fox News, the Boston Globe, and others have been denounced for grabbing at a story that everyone wanted. Man, I must say that journalists can be a constipated lot - so full of themselves and their high-and-mighty attitudes about news gathering. They got it wrong!! By God, they should be drummed out of our noble profession post-haste!! (Funny how some of the loudest critics are also some of the least talented journalists.). Wednesday's false alarm was predictable - there's just a lot of noise coming out of the investigation from a million different directions and lots of pressure to find the scumbags responsible."

No one is, appropriately, saying if tonight's events are related to the marathon bombing. I just heard that the incident at MIT and the car jacking are related. But it makes you wonder what is the better alternative...these are the guys, or these are unrelated incidents. If it's the latter, then there are some really stupid criminals in the Boston area to try anything when the city is on this high alert.

But with all the erroneous information we've already been through, it's hard to believe anything. I'll be interested to see what is confirmed in the morning. Sad and scary night.

Also, the report this morning, if it's true, is that the family came here in 2002, so they would have been quite young -- In other words, they didn't come here with the intent to do this. I hope they get the second guy before he does any more damage. We'll all just have to find out more as it develops.

So definitely more caution unless it comes directly from police/FBI. I see there are already conflicting reports of how long the men had been in the US. Chechen... I have a bad feeling about this, in terms of how the country is going to react.
