But at least Walt ran his company much better than all republican presidents have run this nation in the past 40 years.

Have you seen TDL's Partners statue lately?

Sorry I worded that wrong...I should have said: "If that doesn't exist then..". I do realize that it doesn't. I was just a little worried there for a while.

In all fairness and to give credit where some credit is due, if Walt hadn't had Roy around we would never have heard of anything even remotely as successful as Disney has been. Walt was the visionary but he had no use for money or budgets or anything that might interfere with his vision. Roy was the glue that held the company together. Many of Walt's ideas were so advanced that if he had been left entirely on his own would have been bankrupt many times over. As far as I am concerned it was the Disney brothers that made it great. I have always found it fitting that at WDW, as you enter, in the park, is a statue of Roy sitting in the middle of what appears to be real life. A park in a small town. Walt on the other hand is down the road, firmly implanted in fantasy. Castles and dreams. They were bookends that held it all together.

As much as I admire Walt, I firmly believe that Walt Disney would have been a highly idealic unknown if Roy had not been there to make sure his dreams happened. End of sermon.

First of all, that should be a capital R. They mean two different things. And second of all, I don't suppose the Democrats (both sides are democrats...it does make a difference) did things much better.

But before Mickey Mouse, Walt was an amimator. He did quite a bit of stuff before Mickey, like the Alice Comedies and Oswald. Yes, he did hire other artists to work on those as well, but initialy he was an animator.

I don't know I sure do miss the fun days of the Impeachment hearings. My paycheck sure went way up from the cost of living raises under the Carter Administration.

Does anybosy have pictures of the CM that looks like Walt. I sure would like to see them. I kind of like the idea of him being in a parade.

I completely agree with this statment.

Okay, I'll ask. What's the deal here? I thought TDL's Partners statue was an exact copy of the MK and DL version.

Poetic license here. First of all, Walt did draw Mickey for a while. How much he had to contribute in his exact creation is a tossup. But he was in there. And getting credit for the work of the people working under your inspiration is a good and right thing. So long as they also are given creative credit.

I don't have any handy. But you can do a lot with general body features, a good hairpiece and mustache. The actual face character is less important to the overall caricature like look.

Many famous people "don't look like themselves" and can be hard to recognize when they're seen as real people on a real street.

Yes I understand that. I was just curious to see how it was presented.
