I now for a fact they would have nothing but Seuss to do in IoA.

ORDDU: Yes, so we decided to ask the fairy god mother to give us the latest 'dirt' on the Fantasyland expansion. ORWEN: That's when she invited us to turn around and see all the many piles of dirt behind the construction walls. I mean it was like they had MOUNTAINS of dirt over there! ORDDU: At one point I couldn't help asking her why she didn't simply use her magic powers to create a beautiful Fantasyland expansion, instead of letting it take so long to move the dirt around, while also waiting so long for a new attraction for the Little Mermaid. ORWEN: And do you know what she had to say? ORDDU: She replied that she didn't have a big enough magic wand to perform the task at hand!! Can you imagine that? I had to bite my tongue instead of reminding her that it's not the size of one's wand that makes a difference--but rather the amount of magic within the wand! ORWEN: Now, you'd think a fairy godmother like her would have already known better. ORDDU: Someone obviously needs to sit the poor dear down and have a special talk with her about the facts of life... ORGOCH: Got any volunteers????

With the leaked blueprints, it kind of looked like the Cinderella and Aurora attracitons might have been down in a little valley, with a creek running past and all. Digging out that space would have created a lot of leftover dirt (much like how the dirt from DL's castle moat became the beginnings of Snow White's Grotto and the Matterhorn), and it would have to go somewhere, so that could have become the big hills we see now. However, there aren't any hills like that on the original plans, and it would be a lot easier to load the dirt up in trucks right away, rather than pile it up and then move it again. In fact, it looks like those hills are in the same spot where the little ravine for Cindy and Aurora's houses should be. I don't know if I was just reading the plan wrong (and didn't see it on the concept art), or if they have changed the plans, but I guess anything is possible. From what I've heard, they are still changing all sorts of things with the plans, so it will be really interesting to see how this ends up.

The Beauty and the Beast restaurant and the Little Mermaid ride are still a definite go, but the girly Princess meet n’ greets are on thin budgetary ice now and subject to additional cuts, and the entire eastern half of the expansion that was to comprise a Dumbo area and a bigger version of Disneyland’s Pixie Hollow (with a Tinker bell version of Tow Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree coming to Carsland) has all been put into a holding pattern."
