However, I do see that along the attractions northeast-ish border, across from Mermaid, they are putting in a "Fruit and Nut Cart" a "Merchandise Cart" and, of course, a "DVC Cart". I figure if you count the carts as show scenes....maybe it is an E...or not. (Also, for what it's worth, the layout appears to have been modified from it's original plan.)

No witch? No chase through the forrest? No queen/witch transformation? No dwarf cottage scene? ....This does not bode well, in what is needed in a SW ride, IMO.

For the DVC resorts that aren't at WDW (like Vero Beach or Myrtle Beach or Oahu or wherever), are the characters prominently featured (like when you walk around the property are there signs with Mickey's and Goofy's faces?) or are the DVC resorts more like other upscale hotels that go for understated elegance? Or is it a little of both? ---------------- Leo - we go to Vero every year after WDW and I can tell you characters are little part of the resorts. Vero focuses on the beach - beach activities and the pool and pool activites as a seaside resort should. There are no characters walking around except one night there is a Donald / Goofy pirate themed dinner in Shutters ( one of the 2 sit down restaurants there)- there are subtle hints like the hand on the elevator floors is Mickey's white glove... some of the kids activities during the day include paiting a Mickey cell etc.. but characters and such as virtually non existent. At Vero they focus on the sea turtles heavily and wildlife refuges nearby. I can;t speak for Hilton Head as I 've never stayed there

It's not retelling the story. *shrug*

Those scenes were in the original 1.0 of BOTH U.S. versions and those versions were hardly telling the story either. But that was never the point. The lack if any of these dramatic scenes means a Fantasyland completly devoid of any subversive, dark, scary elements and turned into a happy happy joy joy Family Guy "wonderful day for pie" spoof. VERY CLEARLY not what Walt or even the 2nd generation W.E.D intended.

A Kiddie coaster through a dark mine train will be even MORE boring than the dark ride! I don't need to ride THAT over and over again. That's what's really going to be boring. Nothing worth seeing??? That's an even BIGGER reason to YAWN!!!

If anything, Fantasyland is the place for these stories to be told over and over. I dunno. Too early to pass judgement. Hope that there's more to SWSA II than it seems.
