You don't have to hide it. I understand and I believe that I revealed that I use it as well. I have too now. It's a matter of survival. I just don't think it was a good overall idea. I think that its benefits have been hyped beyond belief and that overall it is bad for repeat business from anyone other than FP users.

It's not your fault, it's Disney fault. You like it...you should use it. I just hope that it eventually goes away. Not likely to happen though even though in recent years they have removed a number of attractions from the FP family.

Any text book will tell you that 100% of mildly, but equal, frustrated customers is better than 70% of unhappy, angry customers. Do the math, Disney! >>>

If that were the only problem with FP, then it could be easily solved: just increase the percentage of FP riders to over 50% - then you'd have more people that benefited than didn't on each attraction. And yes, I realize that there are other reasons why this wouldn't be a good idea - I'm just responding to this one issue that MPierce brought up.

In our tour method, if a line has more than a 30 minute wait we don't get in it. That's why it's rides in the morning and shows and stuff in the afternoon. FP allows us to do other things and not have to wait in line. But it would be impossible for us to enjoy the parks to the fullest if we didn't arrive early. On the rare occasions when we don't arrive early, (like park hopping) I reverse tour order with rides being done later unless there is a fastpass available. And that's why for us FP is a benefit not a hinderance.

We're talking Disney here. No, you don't make a reservation in the morning, you make it six MONTHS ahead of time. If you wait till the morning of the day you want to eat at a particular restaurant, you're in for a rude awakening. So it's just like FP...you snooze, you lose.

Except that I don't feel like I'm losing anything. There is absolutely nothing that Disney has to offer in the line of food that I feel compelled to think about 6 months in advance. So basically you stand in line for 6 months, right? That better be some extremely good food!

I dunno, but I can say that I wanted to try Boma, didn't have a reservation and ended up waiting two hours to get a table. My mom and I found things to do around the hotel, but she was starving by the time we finally got seated.

Then add to that fact that guests dont always follow thier return time hour and then add in a CM who isnt doesnt understand the system or doesnt care and you can see why the Standby wait times are high.

I do think that FP is great on medium busy days when you can walk up and get a FP for a return time that is an hour later. Then you can walk over and do another attraction, return and ride. That is when the system works great. But if I had a vote I would get rid of FP altogether.
