Not sure if anyone else addressed this (I hate coming to posts late, but don't read as often as I used to) but you can get another Fast Pass either after your ride time begins, or two hours after you got the last one, whichever comes first. So people will never have to go all day without a Fast Pass.

I'll bet if you put the term out there, 50% of the people here ( if they didn't google) would have no idea what it meant. Not a term that's been used in the last 40 years or so, even remotely.

Also I am curious to know who you view as this nasty circle of friends as I know I can only speak for me, but most people here do not know the others personally...and the comments about Shula's -- I have been on both sides of the economic fence in my lifetime, but I was never jealous someone else could afford more than me...it motivated me to work harder to succeed, but no matter how much one has-- there are always plenty of people who have a ton more....to those who can afford a lot more than me....my answer is I'm happy for ya.....enjoy life.

Jim, I agree. I raised ( am raising ) 2 kids and I don;t believe DVC Dad has time to read up on early 20th century shipping, or probably time to read much of the Sunday paper.....beign a parent for 6 kids will take most of any time you have left after work.

I think I will take the road less traveled and say, I am very sorry that I offended you. I honestly had NO IDEA what steerage is. Now I know but at what cost? It wasn't worth it to have found out like this.

That being said, your animosity toward me is far deeper and much older than my question about steerage. I say this due to the fact that the converstaions about Shula's is somewhat old.

Now THAT being said, I say this. I never meant to insult you, and I have done so. I regret saying what I did. I can see how this talk and the whole Shula's thread could have been offensive, how it could make me seem like a self righteous ***hole, and how it could make me appear as if I have no respect for others.

But the real truth is this:
You and me are the same. We are both made of the same $6.78 worth of chemicals. There is no difference. I don't look down on ANYONE for ANY reason. Heck there are lots of people out there that have way way and I mean waaaaaay more material things and means than I will ever have. And I am not being sarcastic, I am not being a smart ***, I am just being honest.

In fact, I want to thank you goofy47. Now I feel like a true LP'er. Again not being sarcastic here. It does some people good to be put in their place sometimes. It has just done me a world of good. I will never again post without carefully considering what I am posting. I am very sorry that I offended you. I am shocked that your feelings have been brewing for some time, but that makes me more ashamed of the things I have said.

I don't know what else to do or say, other than to say I am sorry. Now I am going to go upstairs, lay down with my 3 year old son, who thinks that I am god on earth, and go to sleep. When I'm down, he always cheers me up, even without knowing it sometimes.

I never thought I would care enough what someone posted here to let it actually hurt my feelings. But wow, and how.

Let's look at this comment once more. Do you know what my first job was after my DW and I got married? I was a janitor at a chemical plant, AND my second job was the closing cook at McDonald's. My third job was going to college part time, while working these two jobs. My boss had a degree in chemical engineering and I thought then that he looked down on me. I hated him for it. But I could never figure out why he always encouraged me to keep working hard and to stay in school if he looked down on me so. Anyway, no one ever gave me anything. And if I lost everything I have today, I wouldn't care. No material thing lasts forever anyway. I have learned that, in the end, the only thing that matters is family and the love of that family.

You really reached me, and touched me, just the way you wanted to goofy47.

I am currently reading A Tale of Two Cities and OMG the most depressing thing I have ever read. Dickens is a MASTER of the English language. It is a really great read...took me some time to adjust to the old English, as I have shown before I take a cue from other people quite often and follow their paths for a while. Anyway, on the subject of my posts... I am sort of like Dr. Minet, I will have to decide if I should return to France to pursue something further or just stay in England where its safe.
