This would also get rid of the complicated mess of some machines being on the network, and others are not. Every fastpass machine will be on the network.

When you have a Fastpass you are taking up a spot in a line. If you have multiple Fastpasses, you are taking up a spot in multiple lines. When you take up spots in multiple lines at the same time, it is like you are multiple people. More people equal more crowds. More crowds equal longer lines. >>>I'm confused--I thought you could only have one fast pass at a time?<<< After 2 hours, they let you grab another Fastpass, even if your time has never come yet. I am not sure if it is still going on but there were some attractions that had Fastpass machines that were not hooked to the network, meaning they did not talk to the machines at other attractions. This allowed you to get a Fastpass from a non networked attraction and another Fastpass at the same time.

Originally Posted By danyoung >This means people would no longer be allowed to get a second fastpass early after two hours.< This would be a little closer to being feasable, but I still like this benefit. If you have a FP for an extremely popular attraction, it's not unusual for your FP return time to be 10 or 12 hours later, which basically locks you out of any further use of the system. I'm not wild about that, and I'm glad that Disney made the adjustment to allow me to get another in a reasonable time. But I can see how this is furthering the crowds at the other attractions, so I wouldn't be too strongly opposed to the one FP at a time idea.
