Originally Posted By schoolsinger I noticed a significant difference between the standby line and the fastpass “virtual queueâ€. Spots in a standby line don’t “run outâ€. You can get into a normal line up until right before the park closes. And once you are in line, they don’t kick you out even when after park closes. With the current fastpass system you can’t get into the virtual queue right up until the park closes. They run out early. While people can argue that general information about how fastpass works is readily available in the park maps, many people (especially first timers) don’t realize, that the fastpasses can run out early, and assume they have the whole day to get into this virtual line just like the regular lines.

Now in 1984 the Cubs 'lost it' to thePadres...although MLB had a lot to do with that. To refresh everyones memory- the Cubs were to be the home team in that series with the Padres - 2 games at SD then 3 in Chicago -- but MLB changed the series for TV ( no lights at Wrigley yet) - and the home team won every game....

I would never call YOU rididculous - just your words (how's that for a non-apology apology? ).

If you're going to saunter in at 3pm and expect to get the benefit, well that's just an unreasonable expectation.

Even without FP you family would be waiting 60-90 minutes if they showed up later in the day. It used to be that my only shot at riding Space or Splash was during that rope drop run. Now I can enjoy them later in the day without a wait. Works for me.

Maybe it's the unknown of when they will run out that is the issue for me. Your chances of getting a FP at all for a given day is improved the earlier you go. And depending on how busy the day is the later you go into the park the greater the chance of not getting one at all. It would be interesting to know specifically when FP's run out at Soarin' during the busy weeks, wouldn't it? I don't know the times. I just know they do run out.

If so, what time is it typically running out? If you get to the park at 3 PM, and expect to be able to get a FP for 4 PM for a brand new E ticket, that won't happen. But if you get to the park at noon, and can get a FP for 4 PM, wouldn't that make you happy? Are you taking your family to the park during a busy time? you're a CM, right? Isn't it a slow period from now until the middle of June or so, when kids start getting out of school and decending upon WDW?

The fact of the matter is most Cub fans I know are long time Cub fans and we do support the team, win or lose...I see nothing wrong with that. Our day will come...and I do believe they have had some bad luck- ( like D Lee this year - ( and now it appears Michael Barrett might have broken a finger on a slide yesterday as it was 30 degrees during the game) - but it is what it is. No one was catching the Mets in '69 -- and yes we had 7 all stars on the 69 team, but also no one picked them to win more than 100 games which it wouldhave taken either...

It is not a crazy time, but slower probably not right either ---
