But that's the word I heard in my head when I read your word "annoying." I have found over the years of e-mailing and thread posting that I have to be real careful with the words I use. Message receivers can be in an entirely different mindset than my own when I'm sending. That's the reason people use emoticons so much -- to indicate the sender's mindset in a non-ambiguous way so the receiver will interpret the words correctly, and without offense.

But I know I don't plan on participating in the new thread. Just because i don't think anything new can possibly be said. But, I am not an administrator, and I'm sure people will read and participate in the thread. You are obviously welcome to open as many thread as you want to. But I have to wonder, are you trying to artificially increase the number of topics you have created because that number is listed in everyone's profile? You probably aren't, but I have noticed that you will often create new threads on the same subject, and the thought is starting to cross my mind.

I'm doing what I'm doing on purpose, and for reasons that I have learned over the years that work. I'm not doing it because "I missed some obvious truth" somewhere. Though I will acknowledge that even at my age I might have "missed some obvious truth" somwhere.

None of us get paid for any of this, there's no quota we have to meet, and my post counts aren't going to be posted on my gravestone someday. I can see it now. You are your own person, and will continue to do what makes you happy. I am only stating my personal opinion, which as I said, I'm not a moderator so my opinion really doesn't count for much. But you are really trying to spin this FP fair stuff, and there's only so many ways you can spin it, so I hope the third thread will be the last thread for a while. No disrespect at all intended. I am sure you are a nice guy. I wouldn't mind meeting up with you in October when we come down.

Who made the rule that says "Everything that relates to a single subject must be in the same thread?" However, I can't control if posters decide to treat it the same way, and the whole thing veers back to where the previous thread was going. I'll give you this. I'm trying to make sense of a complex topic by exploring different aspects. Thus the different threads. If it doesn't work, I'll not do that again.

Without FP a queue might be 60 minutes long, but move along pretty quickly. With FP, the standby queue might be half as long but still take 60 minutes to navigate in order to let all those FP folks on. This is the one big problem with FP as I see it - that the non-FP lines are now moving painfully slowly. My solution is to use FP wisely, and not stand in a 60 minute queue that barely creeps along. But then, I would rarely stand in a 60 minute line before FP.
