I want to live in the middle of nowhere with lots of beautiful countryside views and wildlife. However, I love museums and the theatre, as well as fine dining, so I am ok with visiting cities. I hate working in them though - especially London YUK! Through the eyes of a tourist I suppose London is ok, but trudging through and working in it is very unpleasant.

Seattle is quite cool, and I loved it back in the grunge days - got to see Pearl Jam before they made it - so cool! Scary cities include - Santa Fe, Dallas, New Orleans and Fresno.

I haven't been down there sincec Katrina, but I just adore the French Quarter, wandering into the shops, talking with locals, coffee (decaf, alas) and beignets at Cafe duMonde in the early morning...the feeling of old souls and dixieland jazz. There is a lot there. Just stay in the well lit and well traveled parts of town after dark -- but isn't that true of most big cities?

I'll be doing Hong Kong, Tokyo soon, Manila soon it'll be my next international trip. So I'll tell you what I think about Hong Kong. I remember Honolulu being nice, but then again I was young. I loved the surrounding area though, not a huge beach person I am though.

When the Germans invaded the Netherlands they moved from their house in a suburb to a hidden room inside the house thats now known as the Anne Frank House. She was found early in 1945, shortly before the war was over. She was killed in Bergen-Belsen. Her Father was the only surviver of the family and he lived until 1980.

Another place we love is San Marino as it's just gorgeous but I'm not sure it's classed as a city? I would really like to go to San Francisco and we will have to go there soon!
