The major part of the cue was when you entered the old circle vision theater where a film played on the history of transportaion was shown 360 degrees around you. This was themed of course to lead up to the evolution of the Rocket Rod. The whole overlay was something like Tomorrowland Transit District.. Then you got your 3 min ride (after an hour and a half wait)

They take you down into some unthemed dungeon and you have to crawl your way out of it to get to the R Rods!! Ecch!

Grizzly River Run uses these same techniques to a similar extent. 4) Star Tours. Who doesn't like seeing 3PO and R2 bantering or the service droid interacting with passers by? 5) Soarin' Over California. I know most people find this queue boring, but it's a great one if you know aviation history. I grew up in Burbank, not far from the old Skunk Works grounds, and live near the High Desert, on which the Condor Flats area is based. Add in the great orchestral music and it makes for a pleasant wait. 6) Mission: Space. Some great displays and builds great anticipation for the thrill ride ahead. 7) Jungle Cruise - DL. The radio broadcast, the continuation of the 1930's theme. Great atmosphere. 8) Haunted Mansion. Stretching room. 9) Peter Pan's Flight/Snow White - DL. Both blend in very nicely with the overall Bavarian/Swiss village theme of Fantasyland. 10) It's Tough to be a Bug - WDW. This queue is the best place to see the Tree of Life and its carvings up close. Underrated, IMO.
