My husband just called and is coming home over Ortega Hwy because the 57 is closed as well. I wonder how many others will be doing this as well. He should be in a really good mood by the time he finally gets home!

Smoke is so bad on the 241 and 91 freeways that people are leaving their cars there and fleeing. All the freeways in the area are closed and I can not get to Disneyland for my shift that was supposed to start 10 minutes ago. As I'm watching the news with my friend, they keep showing the street that he lives on in Yorba Linda. He has no idea what has happened to his home. Many on the street are gone. It's very sad and upsetting to see...

Count your blessing that you can regroup and go forward, and that many folks will be willing to help you move forward. Yes, Firefighters are the front line, but there are many other Public Service personnel, and other groups, such as non-profits like the American Red Cross, and also religious organizations that will aid not just their members, but the public in general. A VERY Big Thanks to anyone who has helped out, or plans to in the future, working with the fires and all the displaced folks out in this stressful time.

We are trying to remain optimistic.
