it is not cheap looking at all, although it wouldn't hold a candle to the real thing, the children may enjoy it

And on a couple of my days there it forecasts the wind at 9 mph from the north or northwest. karlg, do you think that those days will probably be all right?

    But they sure are pretty!

on 4th of July in phoenix, i watched a show and it all the same fireworks. with disneyland and remember they have so many different types and other effects, it just raises the bar on fireworks.

I had read somewhere that the way DL does the fireworks (air launchers I think) are much less polluting than those of years past.

The technology and effort required to put a projection system in place to show quality video to the 10's of thousands of people crowding the park just wouldn't be feasable.

I'm sure the delight it brings to everyone in the park, and outside the park (according to the people who I always see watching them from my apartment complex), far outweighs the external costs of the show, including the costs to the NIMBYs in Anaheim.

I'm not saying it couldn't be done (although a mist screen in front of the castle isn't too likely). But it wouldn't be very practical or cost effective for something that only gets used a few times a year.
