Come to think of it, it's not much different than Casey Jr today. The scenery is slightly different, and the theming of the train cars, but the overall ride experience is very similar. So you're in luck - just line up for Casey Jr and reminisce to your heart's content. Any other problems that need quick and easy answers, just check with me.

I actually thought that while I was watching the video. I never got to ride the Mine Train, but from the video clips it kind of reminds me of the old Subs, which I found incredibly boring. Actually I still find it boring. I think Big Thunder was a huge improvement over The Mine Train.

POTC is the only ride i can stand going more than once a trip out of those 3 rides. "but from the video clips it kind of reminds me of the old Subs, which I found incredibly boring. Actually I still find it boring. I think Big Thunder was a huge improvement over The Mine Train." Thats why i ride the subs about once ever 3 trips lol.

This is the one case where I firmly believe that they could have kept a reduced version of Mine Train and had Big Thunder as well. I know some older folks who would have greatly appreciated that solution.

I do remember that I thought the mermaids were real the first time I rode it though...I thought it was sooo cool that Disneyland had real mermaids.

And you can say that BTMRR isn't the biggest and baddest of roller coasters. But it most definitely IS a thrill ride!

My mom saw the real mermaids as a kid...fortunately, I am much too young to have been there for that. I have been a little bummed about turning 30 this year, but that reminds me that I am still really young

CMs can't walk down an elevated sloped walkway without a railing, so I'm sure they'd have something to say about swimming right next to (and presumably crossing paths with) very large pieces of machinery with exposed propellors, all while wear an outfit that basically makes it impossible to move your lower half in any natural way. Either swimming near moving subs or swimming in a giant fin would be enough to cause issues today, so putting the two together would just be insane.
